Post Fight Spotlight: UFC’s own Max Holloway

I recently got the chance to talk to one of the sport of MMA’s young phenoms Max Holloway. He is coming off of an impressive submission victory against the always tough Cub Swanson. His next challenge lies against another beast in Charles Oliveira on August 23rd in Canada. Here is what he had to say about his opponent, what his duties as a fighter affects at home, and whether or not the Jose Aldo/Conor McGregor fight will actually take place.

Where are you located at the moment?

I’m in Canada man. I had to do some press stuff for UFC Fight Night in Saskatoon.

What are some things you are working on in camp?

I’ve been working on some new wrestling, new jiu jitsu, and new striking.

How hard is it being away from your family?

It’s a sacrifice I have to make for them. All to make a great living for them.

Do you think Conor McGregor will be fighting for an interim belt if Jose Aldo is pulled from the fight?

No Interim belt man. They pumped way too much money into that fight. That fight will happen.

What are your thoughts on your opponent Charles Oliveira?

He’s one of the greatest fighters in the world. I can’t wait to fight him on August 23rd.
